Seasonal & Holidays
'Tis The Season for Spreading Joy
Southbury Needy Fund Neighbors Helping Neighbors

Snow came early this year, reminding us all to count our blessings, and share love and cheer with our neighbors. Won’t you join our very own Southbury Needy Fund, now in its 41st year, bringing warmth and joy to children and families in our community. Each year, as the days grow short, we collect and purchase gifts of warm winter clothing and holiday necessities to make sure that all of our children and families are able to share in the bounty of the season. Come be a part of our giving circle!
We are welcoming:

The Southbury Needy Fund, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, operates on a year-round basis helping Southbury residents when there are no other resources available. Since our inception, we have helped neighbors make ends meet during the holidays: providing clothing, books, and toys for children who would otherwise go without. Throughout the year we also provide emergency financial assistance to families and individuals faced with utility shut-offs, unexpected medical or insurance bills, home repairs, and housing expenses. In addition, the Fund helps community children participate in school-sponsored trips, after-school care, and summer programs.
ALL of our work is done by volunteers -- both our year-round staff and our enthusiastic community helpers who make our Christmas drive a success every year.
