110 Grill To Make CT Debut With 2 Restaurants In Hartford County

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A regional restaurant group specializing in "modern American cuisine" combined with with a conscientious culinary approach is set to expand into Connecticut with one imminent opening and another in the works in Hartford County.

Officials from 110 Grill this week announced a planned November opening for its Canton restaurant and submitted plans to expand into Southington.

The Southington location is targeted for The Village Shops shopping center on Executive Boulevard that is currently anchored by HomeGoods, Chip's Restaurant and a Michaels big box craft outlet.

The 110 Grill is planned for a parcel near the Interstate-84 interchange, according to the plans.

The state's first 110 Grill will debut at the Shops at Farmington Valley in Canton in mid-November, according to a news release. It will become the 32nd location for the six-year-old restaurant group and bring with it 80 jobs, officials said.

The 110 Albany Turnpike location will feature two things 110 Grill is famous for — signature modern-American fare a gluten-free and dietary restricted menu.

Just like every 110 Grill location, the Canton eatery will feature a dining room and lounge, a private dining room, an outdoor patio and a large bar area.

"We are looking forward to welcoming this fantastic restaurant group to The Shops,” said Elizabeth Ackerman, the Shops at Farmington Valley's general manager.

"We are thrilled to expand our footprint into the great state of Connecticut, and introduce our modern-American concept and commitment to allergy awareness to the local community," said Ryan Dion, the COO of 110 Grill and the 2020 Restaurateur of the Year award winner from the Massachusetts Restaurant Association. "We are looking forward to opening in the Shops at Farmington Valley and believe this is the ideal spot for our first location in the state."

The 110 Grill chain was also recently was named one of the Top 10 Most Allergy-Friendly Restaurant Chains in America by AllergyEats.

Chef Elliot Williams, 110's culinary director, has taken his allergy proficiency and cooking expertise "to the next level," in creating the entire core menu to be available 100 percent gluten free, according to a restaurant profile.
