Beach In The City Returns To Bristol

Event set to take place from July 14-16 with 22-ton sandy beach.

The Imagine Nation will be holding its fourth Beach in the City event with a 22-ton sandy beach from July 14-16.

The organization encourages building sandcastles and will have water sprinklers and a water slide. On July 14, the Caribbean Vibe Steel Drum band will perform between 1 and 3 p.m., and on July 16, Sand Ponders’ Sand Sculptor Chuck Feld will be present to help guests design and construct sand castles.

According to a release, Connecticut children 17 and under along with an adult can visit museums participating through the Connecticut Summer at Museum program free. The program is a part of Gov. Ned Lamont’s plan to utilize covid-19 recovery funds to promote enrichment and learning experiences for families and students.

Registration for the event can be found at the museum website. Parking is located next to the Board of Education building on Church Street.
