Accident Causes Havoc For Rite-Aid Entrance
A car blocked part of the entrance way to Rite-Aid following an accident Wednesday afternoon, but fortunately came to an interesting stop without injuries, police said.
Maybe it was a sign that the Rite-Aid on Main Street is in need of a drive-thru window.
Fortunately, no one was injured and an impromptu window was avoided after a freak accident Wednesday, but it was hard not to notice the car tucked into the staircase at the Rite-Aid store.
The accident, which occurred downtown around 12:30 p.m., left several people frightened, but no one was injured according to Southington Police Sgt. Jeffrey Dobratz.
The accident occurred when the driver, who was not named, lost control while in the parking lot and scraped the building before coming to a stop on the entrance ramp.
No citations were issued in the accident and business returned to normal at Rite-Aid after about half an hour.
