Charges Filed In Southington Entertainment Venue Break-In Case
A Waterbury man has been charged in connection with a break-in at a Southington entertainment venue.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A Waterbury man has been charged in connection with a break-in at a Southington entertainment venue over the summer, police said.
At 8:19 p.m. on Aug. 26, officers were dispatched to Batter Up Batting Cages at 2060 West St. for an activated security alarm.
The business owner told police someone broke into the place via a bathroom door and took a cash register containing only coins, according to a report.

Through video surveillance and DNA from blood at the scene, investigators were able to identify a suspect — 45-year-old Jared Cardillo, of Waterbury, according to a report.
A warrant as secured for his arrest on Oct. 28, police said.

On Dec. 16, Cardillo was taken into custody without incident in New Haven, police said. He was transported to Southington Police Headquarters, where he was charged with third-degree burglary, according to a report.
