- Olivia Sherwood, of Southington, was named to the Becker College Dean's List for the fall 2019 semester. Sherwood is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Science, Veterinary Technology Concentration. The Dean's List recognizes all full-time students (24 or more credit hours earned for the academic year; 12 minimum each semester - September through May) whose term grade point average is 3.50 or higher with no grade below a B- and no incomplete (I) or withdrawal/failing (WF) grades.

- Jacob Bocek of Southington earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in finance from Coastal Carolina University on Dec. 17, 2019, during the fall commencement ceremony.
- More than 800 Coastal Carolina University students were named to the President's List for the fall 2019 semester. Among those named to the President's List was Kayla Powers, a Psychology major from Southington. To be named to the President's List, students must achieve a 4.0 grade point average (GPA) for the semester.
- More than 2,400 Coastal Carolina University students were named to the Dean's List for the fall 2019 semester. Among the students earning recognition on the Dean's List was Karla Blake, a Biology major from Plantsville.
Nichols College, Dudley MA
- Many hard-working students at Nichols College in Dudley, Mass., have achieved Dean's List or President's List honors during the fall 2019 semester, including Southington residents Emily Tinyszin, Brooke Schloesser, Lance Johnston and Dominic Coppola. The Dean's List and President's List give recognition to those students who achieve high grades during a single semester. In order to be included on the Dean's List, a student must have a minimum average of 3.5 for at least 12 undergraduate credit-hours and must have received no grades below B- during the semester. Students whose semester average is 3.85 or higher for at least 12 undergraduate credit-hours and no grades below B- will receive President's List honors.
