College Achievements By Students From Southington

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Cedar Crest College, Allentown PA

• Dozens of Cedar Crest College students traveled to London, England recently, as part of the Carmen Twillie Ambar Sophomore Expedition. The Sophomore Expedition is a guaranteed study abroad program. In the spring semester of their sophomore year, students participate in a series of classes to prepare them for the trip. Then they spend 8-10 days traveling as a class to an international destination where they participate in a number of service activities. Amiyah Peters of Southington was part of the trip to London.

Roger Williams University, Bristol RI

• Rachel Bruno, Jacob Cardozo, Annie Mongillo, Laini Pizzitola and Emily Stafford, all of Southington, have been named to the fall 2019 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.
