Assumption College, Worcester MA

  • The Assumption Department of Athletics has announced that Seth Bogoslofski, of Southington, was named to the 2020 men's lacrosse team. Though the spring season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bogoslofski, Class of 2023, competed in the first four games of the Greyhounds' spring season.

  • Forty student athletes from Eastern Connecticut State University were named to the Little East Conference (LEC) 2019-20 Winter Academic All-Conference Team. Among the scholar athletes is senior John Meade of Southington, a member of the men's indoor track & field team. Meade majors in Biology. To qualify for Academic All-Conference, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher and be at least a sophomore with at least one full academic year at their current institution.
  • The Eastern Connecticut State University Warriors baseball team was off to a 4-1 start in its 2020 season of play before the NCAA cancelled all college sports through the end of the school year due to concerns over the coronavirus pandemic. Nonetheless, 39 student athletes made the team, which was vying for another competitive season in the Little East Conference (LEC).
    Among the scholar athletes is freshmen Ryan Henderson of Southington, number 32, who plays pitcher and majors in Sport & Leisure Management.
