Fragola described Ben as a "ray of light" who "stole every person's heart who ever met him."

More than $33,000 has been contributed over three days.

"With the help from all of us we can hopefully give Ben's mom and dad some stability to continue to stay by his bedside and take the worry off of work," Fragola said. "The Mareks have been such a staple in this community and always extended themselves to help people in need. It's time for all of us to give back if you can."
