Crash Leaves Fence Wrecked, Driver On His Face: Southington PD
A driver involved in an April Crash has been charged, Southington police said.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Charges have been filed in connection with a crash that left a fence wrecked and the drive falling on his face, a police report indicates.
Mark Wytrzes, 55, of Southington surrendered on May 1 on an outstanding arrest warrant, police said.
The warrant charged Wytrzes with failure to maintain the proper lane, evading responsibility, first-degree threatening, interfering with an officer and criminal attempt to assault public safety personnel. The warrant resulted from a an April 1 crash.

Police said Wytrzes posted a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in New Britain Superior Court on June 8.
According to a report, on April 1, Wytrzes was driving a Ford Expedition northbound on North Main Street. As he made a left turn onto Curtis Street, his vehicle left the road and struck a fence on the Art Rich Photography property, according to a report.

Wytrzes left the scene without stopping or reporting the incident and a witness called police and followed him until officers arrived, according to a report.
Wytrzes was uncooperative with police after being pulled over and, as he exited the vehicle and walked to the rear of it, he fell, and his face hit the ground, a report indicates.
Wyrtzes threatened to shoot an officer at the scene and spit blood at an officer, according to a report.
Wytrzes was taken to an area medical center for injuries he sustained when he fell, police said.
