Extensive Repairs Needed For Water Main In Southington

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Police on Friday said it could take up to a week to repair a water main on West Queen Street.police said.

Police provided a detour overview:

• West Queen Street will be closed between Smith Medical (201 West Queen St.) and Captain Lewis Drive during the work.
• From West Street, the public will be able to access West Queen Street up to Captain Lewis Drive. From Queen Street the public will be able to access West Queen Street up to the area of Smith Medical (201 West Queen St.).
• Spring Street will be used as a detour for traffic to gain access from West Street to Queen Street and from Queen Street to West Street.
