New Southington Restaurant Brings 'Fresh' Approach to Food

SOUTHINGTON, CT — In opening Craft Kitchen about six weeks ago, Chef Mike Truss wanted to bring a "fresh" approach to the culinary offerings in Southington.

Truss says he plans to "replicate" the "classics of lunch, dinner, pizza, and catering" with a “field fresh — cooked from scratch” philosophy. Menu offerings include pizzas, burgers and paninis.

Craft Kitchen is located at 1244 Meriden Ave. in Southington. It is also BYOB.

Other lunch and dinner options range from French onion soup and specialty pizzas to craft built duck fat skillet links and house crafted fresh pasta.

Craft Kitchen also offers catering choices ranging from lobster bakes to pig roasts to individual trays like slow cooked garlic herb pork loin, creamy signature mac-and-cheese, or craft house sausage and peppers.
