Pennsylvania Homicide Suspect Arrested At Connecticut Truck Stop

A man wanted in a fatal shooting investigation in Pennsylvania was arrested Thursday at a truck stop in Southington.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A Texas man who is a suspect in a Pennsylvania homicide case was arrested Thursday at a truck stop off Interstate-84 in Connecticut, authorities said.

At 11:30 a.m., troopers from the Connecticut State Police Central District Major Crime Squad arrested Tracy Rollins Jr., 28, of Dallas, TX, and charged him with being a fugitive from justice, state police said.

State police in Connecticut were assisting Pennsylvania authorities, who were investigating a fatal shooting that took place in West Buffalo Township in that state, an arrest report indicates.

Pennsylvania authorities had determined Rollins was operating a tractor-trailer that was parked at the TravelCenters of America truck stop off Exit 28 in Southington, authorities said.

Connecticut troopers went to the truck stop and took Rollins into custody without incident, according to an arrest report.

Rollins was held on a $1 million cash/surety bond and transported to Hartford Correctional Center, authorities said.

He was to appear in in New Britain Superior Court Thursday, according to a report.
