PZC OK's Online Gun Business For Southington Home
An "online" firearms business has been OK'd for a Jude Lane home.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — The Southington Planning and Zoning Commission has given the OK for an "online" firearms business at a Jude Lane home.
The vote at a June 21 meeting was was 6-1.
In applying, the resident said the in-home business will involved "mostly online" sales of firearms. Some "transfers" will be conducted on premises, according to the application.

Several points made during a public hearing include:
- Less than 10 firearms would be stored on the property
- The business will conduct No ammunition sales
- No "additional odors" will be caused by the business
- The business will have no signs and will have no advertising outside of its website
- No "target practice" will take place
With PZC approval, the business will now seek a federal firearms license through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, according to the application.
