Quarantines Prompt Shift To Remote Learning At Southington H.S.
Mounting quarantines have led to a shift to remote status at Southington High School.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — An abundance of staff members in quarantine has prompted Southington school officials to go to a remote learning format next week at the high school.
Three positive coronavirus cases at the school has led to at least 25 staff members in self-quarantine, officials said.
In an email to parents sent Friday, Southington Superintendent of Schools Timothy Connellan said, "The school district simply does not have the capacity to staff all of those positions with substitutes, especially given the number of substitutes needed across the district in other schools."
