"We’re thrilled to partner with local businesses and provide our customers with more fresh, healthy, and convenient offerings," store manager Mark Gerson said. "From strengthening relationships with neighborhood breweries, to our longstanding partnerships with vital Connecticut farms such as Rogers Orchards, we’re proud of our commitment to our community."
The store gave away 100 pints of Rogers Orchards apple cider as part of the grocer's long-standing partnership with the farm. Rogers Orchard, a bicentennial farm, was established in 1809 and represents eight generations of family fruit growing in Southington.
The store will also be donating $1,000 to the Southington Community Center, which provides support services to Southington residents and serves as a link between private providers, human services and governmental agencies.
The remodeled store is also offering same day online pickup services.
