Report Released On Fatal Crash Involving Southington HS Student
Southington police on Wednesday released a report on a fatal crash involving a Southington High School student.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Southington police on Wednesday released a preliminary report on a Friday crash involving a 76-year-old Plainville woman who escaped serious injury and a Southington High School senior who died a short time later at an area hospital.
The crash took place at 10:18 p.m. in the area of Meriden Waterbury Road and Clark Street, according to a report.
Police said Julia Bruno, 17, was driving a Nissan Sentra northbound on Clark Street and Nancy Giudice, 76, was driving in an easterly direction on Meriden Waterbury Road. Both vehicles collided in the intersection, and the Nissan then hit a utility pole at the northeast corner of the intersection, according to a report.

The crash remains under investigation by the Southington Police Department Accident Investigation Team.
