Southington Police: Arrests Put Drug Dealers on Notice

The following arrest information was provided by the Southington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Southington drug dealers beware – your activity will not be tolerated.

It’s a message that members of the Southington Police Department’s narcotics enforcement team sent last week, taking several people into custody for alleged sales of narcotics and hallucinogens. Take a look back at the latest police blotter.

The Southington Police Department reported the following arrests:

Jan. 22


Kenneth Green, 20, of 75 Beal Drive in Southington, was charged with possession of a hallucinogenic, possession of a hallucinogenic with the intent to sell, possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, Jan. 22.

Ahmed A. Haider, 21, of 3 Dora Drive in East Haven, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, Jan. 22.

Jan. 23

Michael Henderson, 34, of 956 Mt. Vernon Road in Southington, was charged with four counts of sale of narcotics, possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with the intent to sell and illegal storage of narcotics, Jan. 23.

James J. McCool, 46, of 710 Old Turnpike Road in Southington, was charged with driving under the influence and operating a motor vehicle under suspension, Jan. 23.

Brian K. Kemp, 28, of 216 Park St. in Bristol, was charged with second-degree failure to appear, Jan. 23.

Jan. 24

Alberto A. Duarte, 46, of 59 Sunnyridge Drive in Southington, was charged with disorderly conduct, Jan. 24.

Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents: 

  • Five people were cited with operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
  • Two people were cited with speeding/traveling too fast.
  • Two people were cited with failure to renew license.
