Southington Police Blotter: Caught on the Phone

The following arrest information was provided by the Southington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Talk on the phone while you drive and be prepared to pay the price.

In a steady couple days for police, officers have begun cracking down on distracted driving and cited nearly 20 motorists for using a cell phone while driving. Take a look back at the latest arrest logs.

The Southington Police Department also reported the following arrests:

Nov. 19

Vincent Glorioso, 66, of 157 Burritt St. in Southington, was charged with driving under the influence, Nov. 19.

Krenly Olivencia, 33, of 130 Woodglen Drive in Waterbury, was charged with misuse of marker plates and operating an unregistered motor vehicle, Nov. 19.

Nov. 20

Amanda Jacobs, 26, of 151 Waterville St. in Waterbury, was charged with sixth-degree larceny and third-degree burglary, Nov. 20.

Timothy M. Ribolla, 30, of 92 Eden Ave. in Southington, was charged with two counts of violating a protective order and interfering with an officer, Nov. 20.

Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents:

  • Nineteen (19) people were cited with using a cell phone while driving.
  • Two people were cited with speeding/traveling too fast.
  • Two people were cited with operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
  • One person was cited with operating a motor vehicle under suspension.
  • One person was cited with failure to insure motor vehicle.
  • One person was cited with failure to wear seat belt.
