Southington Police Blotter: Misidentification Lead to Arrest, Man Charged in Sex Assault

In a busy day for police, officers reported two arrests from a foiled car burglary attempt as well as taking a third man into custody for assault and sexual assault. Take a look back at the latest arrest logs.

The Southington Police Department also reported the following arrests:

Nov. 14

Maria L. Privitera, 22, of 349 Old Turnpike Road in Southington, was charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and second-degree criminal trespassing, Nov. 14.

Nov. 15

Brett B. Wright, 25, of 130 Copper Ridge in Southington, was charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, Nov. 15.

Nov. 18

James Monahan, 29, of 50 Berlin Ave. in Southington, was charged with first-degree sexual assault, third-degree assault, third-degree assault on a pregnant person, first-degree reckless endangerment and first-degree unlawful restraint, Nov. 18.

Nov. 19

Alexander J. Arroyo, 22, of 43 Academy St. in Southington, was charged with criminal attempt to commit third-degree burglary, second-degree breach of peace and interfering with an officer, Nov. 19.

Brandon Pack, 19, of 48 George St. in Southington, was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, Nov. 19.

Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents:

  • Two people were cited with failure to renew registration.
  • One person was cited with operating a motor vehicle under suspension.
  • One person was cited with speeding/traveling too fast.
  • One person was cited with failure to obey stop sign/traffic signal.
  • One person was cited with cell phone violation.
