Southington Teen Charged in Milldale Avenue Home Invasion
Just one day after being arrested on weapons charges, Brandon Pack was taken into custody again – this time for charges related to a home invasion that took place in October.

A Southington teenager is facing charges after police said he was involved in a residential burglary in late October, leading to charges just one day after he was arrested for possession of a weapon in connection with an unrelated burglary search the previous evening.
Officers arrested Brandon Pack, 19, on Nov. 20 as he was in state custody for an incident in which he was found in possession of a six-inch hunter’s knife the previous night. He was charged after allegedly entering a home on Milldale Avenue around midnight on Oct. 23, police said.
Pack, of 48 George St. in Southington, was charged with home invasion, first-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny.
Southington police said in a police report that evidence showed Pack entered the Milldale Avenue home and was confronted by the homeowner upon entering. He fled from the scene before police arrived and a K-9 track was unsuccessful.
“Investigation revealed that Brandon Pack, age 19 of Southington had entered the residence through an unlocked exterior door of a mud room at night. While inside the mud room Pack took several items and then he entered the interior of the house,” Sgt. Jeffrey Dobratz said.
“Once inside the house Pack stole car keys, a watch and a pack of cigarettes belonging to the residents. While Pack was inside the house, the two residents were in their bedroom watching television. One of the residents heard Pack inside their home, confronted him and chased him out of the house.”
Pack had been arrested just two days earlier in a burglary involving a separate suspect. While searching for the suspect, however, police approached Pack and observed as he threw the knife in an attempt to hide it from police. He was already in state custody when the arrest warrant was served for the Southington home invasion case.
He is currently being held in lieu of a $20,000 bond and is due back in court on Dec. 12, according to the state Judicial Branch.
