State Cops Seeking Footage, Info On Southington Fatal I-84 Crash
State police are still investigating a fatal crash that took place early Sunday on Interstate-84.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — State police are still investigating a fatal crash that took place early Sunday morning on Interstate-84 in Southington.
The crash claimed the life of 52-year-old Robert Signor of Waterbury, state police said. A report on the crash was released Wednesday.
It was 1:15 in the morning when he was traveling on the eastbound side of the highway in a 2015 Subaru Outback, just west of the Exit 32 off ramp, in the center lane, according to a report.

Signor suddenly lost control of the car, veered to the left and struck the metal beam guardrail adjacent to the paved median, a report indicates. The Subaru proceeded to travel about 100 feet over the guardrail and then rolled over several times before striking a tree, according to a report.
Signor was transported to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, where he was subsequently pronounced dead, state police said.

The crash remains under investigation, and state police said any witnesses can contact Trooper First Class John Wilson at the Troop H barracks, 860-534-1098. State police are also asking for any available dash came footage.
