Stolen Car recovered In Southington, 3 Charged

A stolen car was located in Southington and three men have been charged in connection with the caper, police said.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Three have been charged in a Southington stolen car incident, police said.

Southington police released rte details fo the April 1 incident Monday.

A about 9 p.m. on April 1, a Southington police officer observed a vehicle traveling on North Main Street, near Mill Street, matching the description of a vehicle stolen in Wallingford on Feb. 18, according to an arrest report.

According to an arrest report, police were able to follow the vehicle into a local apartment complex and take into custody the driver, a front seat passenger and a rear passenger.

Officers then recovered a CO2-powered BB Gun from the vehicle, according to an arrest report.

Arrested were:

  • Victor Rombo Ayala, 30, the driver. He was charged with possessing a weapon in a motor vehicle and second-degree larceny for the stolen car inc9dent and narcotics possession after drugs were found on. him, according to an arrest report Ayala was released on a $15,000 non- surety bond and issued a court date of April 16, records show.

  • Wesleye Hoskie, 32, a Passenger. He was charged with second-degree larceny and released on a $10,000 non-surety bond with a court date of April 16, records show.

  • Franklyn Steeves, 26, a passenger. He was charged with second-degree larceny and released on a $10,000 non-surety bond with a court date of April 16, records show.
