SOUTHINGTON, CT — Warm weather has gotten the better of Mount Southington this month as the snow sports area announcd Wednesday it was closing for the 2019-20 season.

"All good things must come to an end," management said in a Wednesday Twitter post. "Mother Nature crushed what snow we had left and unfortunately have to call it quits for the season. Thank you all for coming out to ski and ride and we look forward to seeing you all next season."

By closing Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, the hope was to get one more weekend. The scheduled reopening on Thursday at 9 a.m. did not happen.
