West Hartford Man Charged After Brawl With Cops In Southington
A man from West Hartford with a violent history fought with police in Southington, according to a report.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A West Hartford man is facing four counts of assaulting an officer after brawling with police in Southington, authorities said.
Jeffrey Bowman, 22, has also been charged with two counts of violating a protective order and interfering, according to a report.
He posted a $150,000 bond in the case and was released with a Feb. 1 court date, police said. He apparently skipped that date because a re-arrest order was issued on Feb. 2, according to judicial system records.

The Southington brawl erupted at about 2 p.m. Jan. 29, when local police went to the Dunkin' Donuts at 391 North Main Street because of domestic violence complaint. One of those involved was identified as Bowman, who was the subject of a protective order with the person he had met at Dunkin' Donuts, police said.
Bowman has a history of violent interactions with police, according to a report. Judicial records back up that contention.

The vehicles left the scene, but police tracked down Bowman's car at the West Center Street- Beecher Street intersection.
Bowman initially ignored officers' instructions, but then quickly exited his vehicle, charged at the cops and began fighting with several officers, according to a report.
He was eventually subdued and taken into custody, according to a report.
