Zone Change OK'd For Ex-Lincoln College Campus In Southington

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Planning officials in Southington have endorsed a zone change for the former Lincoln College on Mount Vernon Road that could pave the way for an age-restricted housing project.

The positive vote came Tuesday for 2279 Mount Vernon Road.

Property owner Dennis Terwilliger has identified housing as the best option for the parcel. The plans call for 83 ranch-style homes.

Citing accreditation issues, Lincoln College of New England closed at the end of 2018.
