123rd Annual Wapping Fair Comes to South Windsor

The fair features unlimited rides, a food festival, vendors, exhibits and more.

For the weekend of Sept. 10 through Sept. 13, the Wapping Fair will be hosted at Evergreen Walk, located at 100 Cedar Ave. in South Windsor, according to the event’s website.

The fair, presented by South Windsor Jaycee, will feature pig and dachshund races, doodlebugs, performances, animal exhibits and more, the website says.

The four-day fair’s overall schedule is as follows:

  • Thursday, Sept. 10 from 6 to 10 p.m.
  • Friday, Sept. 11 from 6 to 11 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Sunday, Sept. 13 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Thursday’s admission is free, but a non-perishable food donations are requested and will be donated to support the South Windsor Food and Fuel Bank, the website says.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday admission is $6 for all children and adults taller than 57 inches, the website says. Children under the minimum height are free. Seniors over the age of 65 are admitted for $3.

An admission discount of $1 is being offered Sunday if a non-perishable food donation is made, the website says.

Parking is available at two locations: the ECHN parking lots located off Ellington Road, and the parking lots on Cedar Avenue, opposite LA Fitness, the website says.
