SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A gas station and convenience store on Route 5 near the East Hartford town line continued its recent streak of good fortune for CT Lottery players, as a Vernon man recently claimed the top prize in a scratch game on a ticket he bought there.

Kevin Riordan won $10,000 on a 10X Cash 14th Edition ticket purchased at the Exxon station at 5 John Fitch Boulevard, officially known as Snaxx Plus. He claimed his winnings Monday, according to the CT Lottery website.

Snaxx Plus has been on a roll for fortuitous players in recent months. In late August, a pair of Daily Numbers players hit for $45,000 and $17,812 on tickets bought at the store.
