Camp Life is the Best Life at Camp Merrie-Wood!
Open enrollment all summer: Girls K-12 are invited for an unforgettable camp experience.
This summer, girls at Camp Merrie-Wood can take a deep breath and enjoy the fresh smell of nature while participating in a number of traditional camp activities!
At Camp Merrie-Wood, girls can learn how to play tennis, learn how to build a fire and cook a delicious meal, take part in arts and crafts, lead that silly song or cheer, stomp through the brook, and wrap up their day with s’mores and campfire stories with their new friends.
Camp Merrie-Wood, a day camp for all girls K-12 is located in Manchester, CT. Operated by Girl Scouts of Connecticut, Camp Merrie-Wood is proud to be licensed by the State of Connecticut and accredited by the American Camp Association which shows a commitment to offering high quality programs, meeting safety standards, and following the best business practices.

Summer camp helps boost girls’ self-esteem and confidence, thus improving their social skills and establishing a greater sense of independence. During their summer at Camp Merrie-Wood, girls can develop leadership qualities, learn outdoor skills, find their voice, and more! Younger girls begin by leading songs and playing games. Girls in grades nine through twelve can participate in a number of leadership programs.
At Camp Merrie-Wood, each member of the summer camp staff has been carefully screened and chosen for their skills and experience. All staff receives more than 30 hours of training in child development, team building, safety, and risk management.

All girls in grades K-12 are welcome at Camp Merrie-Wood, which offers bus services from many local towns. Camp runs from June 27-August 1. There is still staff positions open and financial aid available for girls who want to go to camp. To learn more about Camp Merrie-Wood, visit gsofct.org.
