Charles Schwab Opens Branch in South Windsor

Charles Schwab, a provider of full-service brokerage services, opened a new independent branch Friday, Nov. 22, at the Promenade Shops at Evergreen Walk. 

The office offers investors local access to a full suite of investing and personal finance guidance, tools and products.   

The new South Windsor location is part of a larger franchising initiative Schwab announced in early 2011 to begin opening franchise branches in addition to its more than 300 existing company-managed branches.

The South Windsor branch is led by Schwab Independent Branch Leader Sweyden Dibble, CFP®, a financial services professional with 22 years of experience in branch management, financial planning and portfolio strategy. Prior to joining Schwab’s independent branch network, Dibble spent eight years as a regional manager, Regional Vice President and supervision director at AIG Advisor Group-Royal Alliance where he supervised 37 offices totaling more than $2 billion in assets under management. 

“Through my conversations with clients, I’ve seen first-hand how important it is for people to have local access to actionable investing help and guidance that makes sense for their specific financial goals,” said Dibble. “Since its founding, Schwab has been an advocate for the individual investor, and I’m proud to be the face of Schwab in South Windsor and surrounding communities.”

Dibble graduated from Georgia State University with a BA in speech and an MBA in business administration. Dibble obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2002 and holds a Graduate Certificate in Personal Financial Planning.  He is an active member of theSouth Windsor, Manchester and Tolland County Chambers of Commerce. 

Dibble expects to hold a variety of educational investing workshops in the South Windsor branch, which are complimentary and open to Schwab clients as well as the general public.
