Coursey believes the town "deserves a representative who understands the issues that affect their day-to-day lives" and that as a mother and active member of the community, she understands the needs of families.
Coursey moved to town with her husband and three children, following her husband’s 10-year service in the U.S. Navy. Since then, Coursey has become an active member of her community, as a Girl Scout leader, a member of the Parks and Recreation Commission and the South Windsor Democratic Town Committee.
