Manufacturing Innovation Day Celebrated at State Capitol
Rep. Delnicki attended Manufacturing Innovation Day at the Capitol this week and met with local manufacturers.

From the Office of CT House Republicans: State Representatives Tom Delnicki (R-South Windsor) attended Manufacturing Innovation Day at the State Capitol this week.
Delnicki met with his local manufacturers, Carla’s Pasta and Horst Engineering.

Carla’s is a minority-owned family-run, BRC “AA” Rated single-focus leader in the foodservice frozen pasta arena: known for quality and innovation via traditional specialty filled pastas and pesto sauces.

Horst Engineering is a contract manufacturer of precision machined components and assemblies for aerospace, medical and other high technology industries.

Connecticut is home to almost 160,000 manufacturers generating $42.7 billion in economic activity annually. Over 4,000 people are employed by Connecticut manufacturers, earning an average annual salary of $95,118.

Nearly thirty Connecticut manufacturers exhibited their products and services at the State Capitol on Wednesday, May 16 as part of a Manufacturing Innovation Day celebration.
“Manufacturing is a critical component of Connecticut’s economy and I am so grateful that South Windsor is home to so many manufacturing businesses,” Rep. Delnicki said. “Local businesses like Carla’s Pasta and Horst Engineering help to employ many of our residents, and I am committed to working tirelessly to support legislation that fosters job growth, our economy and is business-friendly as well.”
According to the Connecticut Business and Industry Association, more than one-half of the top 100 companies headquartered in Connecticut are manufacturing firms.
