Employee Severely Injured In South Windsor Workplace Accident: PD
A man's arm became entangled in a piece of machinery early Monday morning, police said. He was flown to Hartford Hospital.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — An employee at a pasta manufacturing facility sustained severe injuries when his arm became entangled in a piece of heavy-duty machinery early Monday morning, according to police.
At 3:24 a.m., emergency responders rushed to Carla's Pasta at 50 Talbot Lane, off Governors Highway, to assist the man, whose arm was caught up to the elbow. A Hartford Hospital LIFE STAR helicopter was called in at 4:52 a.m., police Sgt. Mark Cleverdon said.
The employee was extricated from the machine at 6:05 a.m. and flown to Hartford Hospital. His status is unknown, Cleverdon reported.
