We'll let you know what to expect for the evening commute, which may include thunderstorms.

The National Weather Service has issued a “Hazardous Weather Outlook” for Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, New London, Hartford and Tolland counties for Tuesday afternoon.

Yesterday, we dealt with freezing temps, snow and ice, and now there is talk of thunderstorms and fog. What a winter!

Here is the latest information via the National Weather Service for Hartford and Tolland counties:

A period of heavy rain this afternoon will result in areas of urban and poor drainage flooding, the weather service states.

Rain and possibly a thunderstorm is likely after 4 p.m. Patchy fog is also expected and winds will gust up to 21 mph. An inch of rain is likely before ending around 8 p.m. Fog will also pose an issue this evening too.
