South Windsor History Programs Delayed

Virus stalls planned events in South Windsor

Town marks 175th anniversary
Town marks 175th anniversary

Two spring programs on local history have been cancelled due to virus concerns. The South Windsor Historical Society and Wood Memorial Library & Museum will reschedule them for later in the year.

The “Four Feisty Connecticut Women” presentation was slated for March 22, and “Divided Loyalty in Revolutionary Connecticut” for April 9. Both were productions of the Connecticut Historical Society and were to include local references in connection with the town's 175th anniversary.

No decision has been made on the planned May program “Abraham Lincoln, Man of Compassion and Connecticut” and June’s “South Windsor Farming: 1648-2020.”
