The company known as Admiral Moving and Storage for more than half a century is now called Storage Sense.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A local business which evolved from a small storage facility to one of the largest moving and storage companies on the East Coast has been sold after more than 50 years.
Admiral Moving and Storage, founded by Robert Milkie in 1963, sold its properties at 410, 420, 426 and 428 Ellington Road and 688 Sullivan Avenue last week for $5,442,100. The buyer is a newly-formed limited liability company named Admiral Holdings CT LLC, according to South Windsor property records.
A small sign in front of the property on Ellington Road simply reads, "We are now Storage Sense." Storage Sense is a national storage chain, now with 111 locations throughout the U.S. This is the company's first foray into Connecticut.
