Making Art Together at ACE

For children Ages 3 – 7 and their grown-ups.

As a parent (or grandparent) you want to encourage your child’s creativity. Many studies have shown that children who are exposed to the arts do better academically. This class is an opportunity to have fun making art while bonding with your child. Together, you will create drawings, paintings and a multimedia project. Through tactile and visual experiences, you will both learn to experiment and play with a variety of materials. Adults will learn about the developmental stages of children’s art and be given suggestions for encouraging the creative spirit at home.

Instructor Nancy Cooke Bunnell has exhibited widely and has 30 years experience teaching in public schools and 12 years experience teaching art to ages 3 to 100! Her awards include Best in Show Award at the 2012 Connecticut Pastel Society Exhibit and Second Place Award at Arts Center East’s Annual Juried Exhibit in 2013.
