Man Charged With Stealing $500 in Baby Formula

South Windsor Police arrested a man arrested an Old Saybrook man for a crime committed in June, after an East Lyme police officer recognized him on video.
Security footage at a Buckland Road store showed a man take $500 worth of baby formula this summer and police investigated, according to police.
An East Lyme Police officer identified the man as Paul Deckelman, 31, of Old Saybrook, and South Windsor Police obtained an arrest warrant.

Deckelman was arrested Wednesday, Nov. 6, and charged with fifth-degree larceny. He was held on $10,000 surety bond and presented at Manchester Superior Court later that day.Â
Deckelman has several other pending cases, according to the state judicial website, including assault, larceny and narcotics charges.Â
