Man Faces Slew of Charges After Alleged Attempted Theft
Man reportedly attempted to break into a store case, then lied to police.

A man who allegedly made two attempts to break into an electronics case at a Buckland Road store, then lied to police, was arrested Sunday.
According to South Windsor police, security officers at the store watched Edward Stanley, 37, of Westbrook, and called police. When officers arrested Stanley, he reportedly lied about his identity.
He was charged with interfering with an officer, criminal impersonation, criminal mischief in the third degree, criminal attempt to commit larceny in the sixth degree, and failure to appear in the second degree. Stanley was held on $10,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court Monday.
