Mass. Man Arrested in South Windsor in Amber Alert Case Pleads Not Guilty

The man and his children were found safely in May at a 7-Eleven in South Windsor.

The Massachusetts man who allegedly took his two children by force from a foster home in Braintree, MA, only to be taken into custody in South Windsor by police following an Amber Alert, has pleaded not guilty to his charges.

Jon T. Lockwood, 55, entered his plea Monday during an arraignment in Norfolk Superior Court. He is charged with two counts of kidnapping by a relative, two counts of reckless endangerment of a child, assault with intent to commit a felony, breaking and entering in the daytime to commit a felony, assault and battery on an elderly person and assault and battery, WickedLocal.com reports.

Lockwood remains in jail on $30,000 bond.

Should Lockwood make bail, he would be subject to several conditions including, but not limited to, GPS monitoring and surrender of his passport, according to WickedLocal.com.

He is scheduled to next appear in court on Sept. 30.
