Outstanding Accomplishments By South Windsor College Students

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison NJ

• Kiara Breen, of South Windsor, a student at Fairleigh Dickinson University's Florham Campus in Madison, NJ, has been named to the Honors List for the spring 2020 semester. To qualify for the Honors List, a student must carry a 3.5 or better grade point average out of a possible 4.0 and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 letter-graded hours (four courses).

Ohio University, Athens OH

• Ohio University Scripps College of Communication student Katarina Hibbs from South Windsor has been named to the fall 2020 Dean's List. More than 8,400 students qualified for the fall semester 2020 Dean's List at Ohio University, including main and regional campuses.

Seton Hall University, South Orange NJ

• Garrett Belardi, Marla Metevier, Joshua Smith and Anthony Zaino, all of South Windsor, qualified for the fall 2020 Dean's List at Seton Hall. After the close of every semester, undergraduate students completing all courses with a GPA of 3.4, with no grades lower than "C", qualify for the Dean's List.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

• Three students from South Windsor made the Dean's List at WPI for the fall 2020 semester. They are Samay Govani, class of 2024, majoring in mechanical engineering; Zachary Manfredi, class of 2024, majoring in chemical engineering; and Jia Yazon, class of 2024, majoring in chemical engineering. The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differs from most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean's List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.
