Police: Man Stole Debit Card From Car, Used It

Allegations stem from March investigation.

A man already facing several larceny and burglary charges out of South Windsor, East Hartford and East Windsor was arrested again Tuesday on new charges.

Ely Corcoran, 31, of 441 Main St., East Hartford, was served an arrest warrant at Manchester Superior Court Tuesday and charged with third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and third-degree identity theft. 

According to police, Corcoran stole a debit card out of a vehicle parked on Ivy Lane and then used the card. He was identified from surveillance footage in a March 2013 investigation and later admitted his involvement to officers, police said.

He was held at court on $10,000 surety bond and was presented at court later in the day.
