Body Of Missing South Windsor Woman Found, Husband Arrested
Police searched an area near a reservoir Friday and located the body of Jessica Edwards, 30, who went missing on May 10.
EAST HARTFORD/SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — The search for missing South Windsor mother Jessica Edwards ended Friday afternoon after authorities found her body in East Hartford. Later that night, her husband was arrested in connection with her death, according to police.
The body was found in a wooded area near the entrance to the Hockanum River Linear Park.
Edwards’ husband, Tahj Hutchinson, 22, of Cinnamon Springs, was charged with first-degree manslaughter around 9 p.m., and is being held on a $1 million bond. Additional charges may be filed upon completion of the investigation and the results of the autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, Cleverdon said.

Edwards' baby, a 7-month-old, is safe and with family, police said.
Edwards, 30, had been missing since 7 a.m. on May 10 and was reported missing by her family.

According to police, she had called out of her clinical training at Hartford Hospital that day, her phone was off, and her vehicle was left at her home, police have said.
The search for Edwards had intensified over the past week with multiple searches.
On Friday, investigators descended on an area near the Hockanum River Reservoir in East Hartford Friday afternoon.
The area being searched was off the Driver Road/Chipper Drive cul-de-sac in East Hartford, a few miles from the condominium complex where she lived, authorities said.
East Hartford and South Windsor police were at the scene, along with the State Police Major Crimes Unit, authorities said. The medical examiner arrived in East Hartford Friday afternoon. Some members of Edwards' family were also present.
