Railway Repairs Prompting Detours In South Windsor

A three-day traffic advisory has been issued for a busy area of South Windsor.

SOUTH WINDSOR — A three-day traffic advisory has been issued for a busy area of South Windsor because of railway crossing repairs.

Pleasant Valley Road will be closed at the railroad crossing near John Fitch Boulevard (state Route 5) beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 until 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18.

The road closure is necessary to replace a railway crossing, according to a police.

Detour signs will be in place directing traffic to Nutmeg Road North and onto South Satellite Road, or to Chapel Road, police said.

Bus companies and emergency services providers are aware of the temporary route change, police said.
