School Field Trips, Drama, a Fun Run and Free Comic Books!
Here are five things going on in the area this weekend.

Good morning, South Windsor! Today is Friday, May 3, 2013; there are 242 days left in the year.
It's the end of the school year (almost) and all of the springtime field trips are underway.
You know, the annual trips to Sturbridge Village, take your pick of local art museums or maybe a road trip to Mystic Aquarium.
I, myself, am signed up to chaperone a trip to a local farm to do chores for 3 hours with a group of second-graders. Those who know me will find this humorous, as my husband owns a dairy farm and I rarely do more than occasionally, very occasionally, feed the calves.
What was your most memorable field trip as a child? How about the best one that you went on with your child's class?
I'm going to go with Boston, circa 1990: whale watch and eating so much raw chocolate chip cookie dough that we were WIRED on the boat. With my children, you can't go wrong with Davis Family Farm Adventures in Sterling, MA, for the kindergarten population.
Here's your weekend Daily 5:
1. The Kids Stuff Tag Sale at the Lutz Children's Museum in Manchester is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, May 4 and 5, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
