South Windsor Athlete Named to Sacred Heart University Wrestling Team

A South Windsor High School alumnus has been named to the Sacred Heart University wrestling team.

Casey Mitchell is among the Pioneers' 25th ranked recruiting class.

"This recruiting class will serve as the foundation for the new era of Sacred Heart University Wrestling," said Head Coach Andy Lausier in a statement on the university's Web site. "Within the class, there are many great wrestlers with great futures at the collegiate level, but most importantly each of these recruits are exceptional young men who will represent Sacred Heart University and Pioneers Wrestling to the highest standard."

Mitchell has 171 career wins and is a USA Wrestling All-American, among other honors, according to the school's Web site.
