South Windsor Eatery Named Among Connecticut's Best
An eatery with four locations, including South Windsor, was recognized among the best in the state by Connecticut Magazine and its readers.
SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — An eatery with four Connecticut locations, including South Windsor, has been deemed among the best in the state as Connecticut Magazine recently published its 2021 Best Restaurants awards.
Bear's Smokehouse BBQ, located in Hartford, Windsor and New Haven in addition to its site at 454 Ellington Rd. in South Windsor, was named Readers' Choice for Best Barbecue in Hartford County, as well as statewide runner-up behind HooDoo Brown BBQ of Ridgefield.
The South Windsor site, known as Bear's Smokehouse Express, features entrees and by-the-pound meat selections, including pulled pork, pulled chicken, Texas sausage, kielbasa, turkey breast, brisket and pastrami. It is open daily for take-out from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
