South Windsor Girls Soccer Advances in Class LL Tournament
Bobcats beat West Haven in double overtime.

The South Windsor girls soccer team survived Round 1 of the hornets' nest that is the state Class LL tournament, defeating No. 23 West Haven 3-0 in double overtime on Monday.
The 10th-seeded Bobcats got two goals from Kat Comeau and one from Megan Miller to advance to the second round.
Dani Karpiej and Auna Harvey had assists, while Keegan Caffrey had four saves to earn the clean sheet.
Margaret Borer had six saves for West Haven (8-8-1).
South Windsor (12-5-1) will play No. 26 Greenwich on Wednesday. The Cardinals defeated No. 7 Cheshire 2-1.
