South Windsor Native Named to New England All-Star Hockey Roster
Trinity College junior goaltender Ben Coulthard was presented with the awards this month.

The following press release was provided by the Trinty College Athletic Department:
Trinity College Head Men's Ice Hockey Coach Matt Greason, of North Bridgton, Maine, was selected as the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Coach of the Year, while junior goaltender Ben Coulthard, of South Windsor, was named to both the New England Hockey Writers Division II/III All-Star Team and the All-NESCAC First Team.
The Bantams, 9-13-2 last year, posted a 15-7-3 overall record and finished third in the NESCAC with an 11-4-3 league mark. The Bantams qualified for the NESCAC Championship Tournament for the 13th consecutive season, downing Wesleyan at home, 5-4, in overtime in the quarterfinals, before falling to Williams, 4-2, in the semifinals at Bowdoin.
Greason, a captain and All-New England forward for the Bantams and an assistant coach from 2007 to 2009, guided Trinity through a consistently successful season that included a five-game winning streak in the NESCAC and no losing skid longer than two games in 2012-13. The Bantams pounded top-seeded Bowdoin, 10-5, on neutral ice in the regular-season finale to secure the No. 3 seed and a home game in the NESCAC Championship Tournament. Greason, who also served as an assistant coach for the United States National Team Development Program U-17 and U-18 National Teams, is 24-20-5 in two seasons as the Trinity Head Coach.
Coulthard totaled 688 saves for a NESCAC-best .935 save percentage (4th in nation) and 48 goals allowed for a 2.28 GAA with a 12-6-3 record and three shutouts in 22 games and 1,264 minutes in goal. A graduate of the Pomfret School, Coulthard is majoring in political science at Trinity. He is the son of Susan and Lee Lapierre.
