The food drive held by the South Windsor Police Department and volunteers at Stop & Shop and Geisslers this weekend, collecting a large amount of donations to help those in need during the holiday season.
According to a release from the department, the drive raised 220 boxes of food and $3,000 in cash and gift cards.
"We thank everyone who helped support this effort for our neighbors in need, including all the volunteers from the South Windsor Fire Department, South Windsor Ambulance Corps, Rotary Club, South Windsor Human Services & TRIAD, the High School Interact Club and the staff and managers at Stop and Shop and Geisslers," the release said.Â
